Keeping an offset of 64k in disk partition is better than the default 32k is what I have heard. The sql server works better for a 64k disk partition. Is this partition done during the production stage, will I loose any data duting the disk partition. Is there any specific instance where this disk partition must not be done or any risk involved in doing this on a production system. Will this effect the sql server box. Please Clarify.
